Everett Mountain Rescue (EMR) is an organization of climbers and first responders dedicated to saving lives through search and rescue and mountain safety. We are a fully-accredited member of the Mountain Rescue Association and provide all-season technical rescue services in the rugged mountain terrain of Snohomish County and throughout Washington State.

Support Everett Mountain Rescue

EMR is a volunteer-run non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and relies on donations from businesses and individuals to purchase critical rescue equipment and provide training for our team members. Your donations support our efforts in helping everyone who goes out into the mountains come back home. Please consider making a donation, so that others may live.

Join our team

Formed in 1954 when a group of Mountaineers hastily organized a rescue effort to reach a group of friends stranded on Mt. Stickney, EMR volunteers have been responding to missions in Snohomish County and throughout Washington State. From Mount Pilchuck to Mount Pugh, we use technical rope rescue, safe snow travel and search techniques to support our community.

We seek new volunteers with a high degree of technical proficiency, experience, leadership skills and risk management to join our team. Interested volunteers are welcomed and encouraged to learn more about the requirements of volunteering on our Join page!
